Fire Pump & Standpipe Sizing
Checks a fire pump against the hydraulic design it has to serve. You enter the approved flow and pressures, and it works out what the pump must deliver and whether the standpipe outlets stay within their limits.
- The pressure the pump has to add.
- The minimum shaft power for the pump.
- The minimum standpipe demand.
- Whether the outlet pressure stays under the standard's maximum.
- Follows: RA 9514 (Fire Code of the Philippines), Section 10.2.6.8, standpipes; NFPA 14, the standpipe standard the Fire Code adopts.
- It does not produce the hydraulic calculation. It checks one that already exists, so the inputs must come from the engineer's design.
